About Us

CUSA, or Chinese Undergraduate Students Association, is an Asian interest group open to everyone at the University of Chicago. We strive to provide a forum for unity, as well as opportunities to learn about Chinese culture. CUSA members bond through social activities, entertainment, and Chinese cultural events in order to promote social awareness, diversity, and fun.

President
Theodore Lam

> Born in the states, I grew up in Hong Kong. I am currently a junior at the College majoring in Economics. I joined CUSA in my first year, as a lighting manager for the CUSA Show and as a Publicity Chair.


Vice President
Wilson Yu

> I will be a third year Economics major in September.  Born in Canada, I spent my early childhood in Guangzhou, went to primary school in Hong Kong and middle school in Canada before coming to the US for high school.  I have held various positions in CUSA since my freshman year as a Freshman Rep and the Public Relations Chair, as well as being an actor and a Stage Manager for the CUSA Show.

Jamie Li

> I was born in Beijing but currently reside in Hong Kong. I plan on majoring in Economics and East Asian Civilization. My hobbies are jazz, tango and collecting antiques. I am also a Kendoka.


Secretary
Tyler Qiu

> Hi, my name is Tyler Qiu. I am a biology major with a specialization in Economics. During my free time I like to hang out.


Social Chair
Jessica Ng

> Hey, I am a rising second year from Hong Kong. Although I am not entirely sure about my major, I am really into science. Wherever you're from and whether you are interested in science or not, please feel free to email me about anything.


Public Relations
Lillian Lin

> I am a second-year student hailing from Taipei, Taiwan! I will most likely major in the social sciences, and I am interested in the field of communications. On campus, I also participate in MUNUC and The Mark.


Publicity Chair
Laura Tong

> Though I currently live in Chicago suburbs, I have lived many places in Asia and the States, from Singapore to California. I am planning on studying psychology and international studies, though that may change.
